I'm almost kind of amazed that they would feel the need to "test out" the material, at the least to see if there was a demand for it (testing it to see whether they could pull it off or not is another thing). Are you kidding me, of course we want to hear that stuff! Well then again I guess not everybody is as obsessed with those years as I am.

I noticed they did an elective set on that first Mattson tour where they leaned towards a 68/69 feel. They did a pretty nice Alligator>Caution late in the show...forget the date. I usually never listen to/download DSO shows that I did not personally attend, but I made exceptions for those 2, and really liked what I heard.

11/7/69 was an interesting pick, I wonder what made them choose that specific date? I think this is a great time to be a DSO fan, not only do they have the freshness of Jeff Mattson entering the mix, but also new territory to explore with the 60's stuff.
